High Protein Chili
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a very cheap, very fast recipe for Texas chili. The trick is that it's low fat, high in protein, and high in fiber...perfect for a bulking. And its highly customizable to taste, I like it spicy so here goes...
Makes 1 serving
1 lb ground chicken
2 24 oz cans of chopped tomatoes
1 can of dark red kidney beans
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)
Fresh Garlic (to taste)
1 tablespoon chili powder
Brown the meat in a large pan. Chop up the vegetables while its browning. When the meat is cooked, drain off the fat. Add in the vegetables in spices and let it mix with the meat for a few minutes, then add in the tomatoes and the drained beans. Allow to cook for 20 minutes or so.
