Help with Msn messenger prob

Cant get on to either my hotmail accnt or msn messenger, keep getting message "library file damaged MSIMG32.DLL" I have tried re loading, un installing and re installing and still same problem

Also have lost my google toolbar and cant get that to re load either

Goto start > run and type CMD

An msdos prompt will appear.

Type in there:

regsvr32 msimg32.dll

It should say completed. Close the window and try MSN again.

Let me know how you get on!

You can also try finding the file in c:\windows\system and replacing it (Backing up the old one first of course) with the file in the ZIP file attached to this post.

command got me in, got to go out now will try later. may just re install windows and start again :) everything is backed up so shouldnt be too hard

Well try the command fix, and try replacing the file with the one that is attached to this thread and if nothing works then youv'e not lost anything except 10 minutes of your time :)
