Hi there,

I am 21 years old and am sick of being looked at as a weakling. Weighing in at only 153 Ib's. I want to train to be a COC if i Can. However will be satisfied reaching level 2.

It is very difficult for me to put on anyweight. however, i have changed my diet and it seems to be working. I consume about three meals a day. And also consume about 4-5 pints of milk aday. Some with and some without weight gainer added. I also supplement with Amino Acids, Vitamins and minerals as well as cod liver oil.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

especially if anyone knows ways of beating plateaus and how i can achieve higher levels of gripping power. I used to be laughed at at social events when arm wrestling was being played because i had next to no strength in my arms. So when I turned 20 i decided this was going to train and I train my foreamrs as much as i can. Sometimes until i can no longer even move my fingers. However the limited amount of progress is letting me down and I want ways of cracking through plateau's. I have ordered a level 2 COC and I am going to try some negative training to help me attain a higher level of strength using negative/eccentric training.

regards

Welcome to the forum.

Hi try dropping the milk and eating more meals, 3 meals a day just isnt enough you want to try and eat a meal at least every 3 hours keep you weight gainer and protien drinks in try blending some extra virgin oil in with your protien drinks start of with a couple of spoonfulls then increase it gradually.

As for your forearms dont over train them try just train them when you do back or biceps same thing goes for every muscle group Stimulate you havent got to kill them.

Good luck in your training and maybe post your diet so the guys can help

ok well erm...

i eat alot of pasta, normally having about one pasta meal 6 times a week. I also eat alot of meat. Whatever I can get my hands on (really). I eat alot of cheese, and ham, on sandwiches. Eating them about 11 o clock at night, as a snack or something, avoiding white bread though.

Unfortuanatly i work in the morning. so i do not have time to eat alot then. So i normally consume some weight gainer, and take a litre bottle of milk into work to consume. The next chance i get to eat is when i get home so i normally make a lot of pasta and put in things like tuna, meat, mackeral or something. And drink weight gainer with it or some water

I then have some amino acid supplements and then start training or relaxing depending on whether it is one of my training days. I normally train three times or more a week. Grip training is addictive and its hard not to pick up my COC everyday and train my forearms. However when i do train it is intense training for about 1 to 2 hours.

After training I consume some more weight gainer. then have an evening meal. followed at about 8-9 in the evening with more weight gainer and a snack or something later on in the evening.

thanks for the reply.

Have you tried preparing your meals the night before as not to go with out food for such long periods, you need to eat at least every three hours 6 small meals a day as well as your protein drinks, take your aminos with your meals .

Consume good quality protien eggs, fish, steak ,chicken ,turkey, tuna ,just cook them the night before mate i find it easier this way.

DT has posted a mass building diet maybe this will help .?

thats a good idea thanks mate. i will look at the previous posts and things. I am not a big fan of cereal and oats in the morning. I find them sickly and so i try to avoid them. Plus full english breakfasts have to much fat in them.

For speed most of the time my breakfast consists of weight gainer and the occaisonal piece of toast with jam and butter, or a continental style breakfast, i think i am going to change this for some tinned fruit, for a healthier option. I try to avoid white bread, due to the fat content, but i'm not a big fan of brown or wholemeal bread.

its not till i get home, till i can eat more food, due to not having a break at work.

Hi Mate and welcome.
Although you find the gripper addictive, don't go overboard on it every day. You are still training a muscle group that needs rest time to repair itself. You should treat the muscles used here the same as any other muscle group.

Train, grub, rest and recover.
