Dear Hard Gainers, This is my first post on this site. I produce the annual Mr Titan Show at what many believe to be the best venue for bodybuilding shows around: the London Hackney Empire. The Titan started life in 1981 at the old Hornsey Town Hall in north London and, aside from a break when I was working in America, it has kept going as a fiercely independent yearly event. The Hackney Empire is now 106 years old, but was lavishly renovated and restored about 5 years ago. It was built before microphones were commonly used, so every seat in the house had to be close to the stage. Many famous stars have appeared on that stage: Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Louis Armstrong to name but a few. Ask any of the guys who took part in last year's Titan Show or Wayne Demilia's Night of the Champions: it is a great venue, ideal for bodybuilding shows with unrivalled lighting and super dressing rooms and backstage facilities.
This year's Mr Titan is on Sunday 29th April. Whilst last year we had the well known Stan Mcquay from the USA appear as guest star, this year we have headed into Europe to get the Hungarian bodybuilding star Zoltan Voros come to London for the first time. He came 4th in Wayne's New York Night of the Champions in 2006. The guy is a monster!
The Titan tries to be an entertainment as well as a competition. Whereas the stage is set starkly for the afternoon judging, the evening show is all glitz and glam, and fun.
If you want more information about a show which is genuinely different, you can contact me at 'Titan43uk@yahoo.co.uk' or on 0774 882 2586. This year we are raising funds for the Variety Club of Great Britain's Disabled Children's Appeal at the show.

Thanks for your support. As a die-hard Englishman, I have to say I am very fond of Wales and regard Caerphilly Castle as one of the best in the UK to show people around (though it was built by an English/Norman nobleman!). And Welsh archers fought alongside the English at Agincourt against the French. (I'm a history buff and tour guide as well, sorry!!).
We happily welcome everyone to the 'ackney Empire to see the show.

Best of luck mate and welcome to the board! ;)

I would have liked to see a few more posts before you spammed the board but the board isn't that lively so best of luck mate!

Dear Winger,
Thanks for your post. To be honest, I didn't know this Board existed until a few days ago. The thing is, I am not a bodybuilder but have managed some top physique stars in my time (mainly American), and have been involved in putting on bodybuilding events since 1978. Not just shows but seminars (Lou Ferrigno, Mike Matarazzo to name just two). I try and put on the very best shows, to equal in production the effort put in to prepare for it by the competitors. The Hackney Empire, which is a truly brilliant venue, does not come cheap. It is after all the equal of a West End theatre, the kind in which in the 'old' days they used to stage bodybuilding shows. So though I can't bring any specifically training input to the Board, I can bring years of experience of putting on shows both here and in the USA, in the hope of bringing bodybuilding to the wider public in a proper theatre with all the trimmings. I did not intend to 'spam' the Board, as you put it, but just wanted to let people know about a normally really enjoyable show in a super theatre.
None of us make any money out of the shows: this year we are raising funds for the Variety Club's Disabled Children's Charity. If you would like to come along to check us out, let me know and you'll get an invitation.

That sounds cool. I bet you do put on the most amazing show.
Thank's for the invite mate. I am in the U.S. and that might be a bit too far to drive. :)
Well nice to see you here mate and enjoy yourself. The board just changed hands so you will see allot more posting now.

When is your next show in the U.S.?

Dear Winger,
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad all is OK. With it being a 'co.uk' address I sort of assumed you would be on this side of the pond! I lived in Arizona for a few years but now am based in London. I am not planning any shows in the USA for the time being. I helped put on a couple of 'local' shows out there and also the NABBA World in Las Vegas back in 1986, but am now based permanently in London (and the shows, at the Hackney Empire). We may be starting up the Titan's 'sister' show, the Mr & Miss Capital City, next year, depending on how this coming Mr Titan goes.
Best wishes,
