I don't want to compete anymore. I don't have the desier to be a quote on quote "bodybuilder". That does not mean I am not going to train. I'm going to concentrate on becoming an MMA fighter. 4 days I'm going to the gym to hit the weights and one cardio session. Then one day of boxing and one day of tai boxing. So in total I'll be active six days. This was a big dessission and I didn't take it lightly. At first I wanted to be something else and do MMA at the same time. But I've realised if I want to be an MMA fighter I should only concentrate on MMA. Especially if I want to become a champion. I think my wrestling is preety good and my submissions are okay. My striking ability however isn't very technical. I can punch really hard but like I said not very technical. My kicking is awful and I cant do high kicks cause I weigh too much. I plan on shreding myself too 16stones cut. If I'm not cut at this weight it probably means I should weigh less. If this is the case when I INSHAALLAH get there then I'll cut down even more.

Has anybody got any words of advice? It would be helpfull.

Thanks.

dont neglect the grappling...........MMA is not the same as wrestling

high kicks for show are not worth their salt with a good fighter unless you are very lucky#

western boxing good for punching

muay thai goor for elbow knee and kicks as well as the standing clinch and takedowns from there

BJJ for teir grappling techniques

good luck with it

Don't worrie about the grappling. I just want to get in a routine first then I'll also be training Wrestling with my mate in bolton. The style of wrestling is olympic. I'm also INSHAALLAH be training ju-jitsu. Man INSHAALLAH I'm going to be the UFC heavyweight champ. Thanks for the support and once again sorry for being a hater in the past.

I really like this. Infact you said what I was going to say.
Keep the kicks low and take down the tree at the base. One good leg kick and if the guy doesn't check it he is just about done.

If I gave any advice I would say cardio is key. I have yet to see a guy come in with poor cardio and win a match that lasted longer than 3 minutes.Forgive my ignorance Unique but what does "INSHAALLAH" mean ?
Respectfully bump. :)

If Allah wills. So basicly it means if Allah wants it to happen let it happen and if Allah does not want it to happen let it not happen. It's a really pious word.

escsarmy do you know what a zionist is. I've heard Muslims and Jews are against them.

The term "Zionism" was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum.

This article discusses Zionism as a movement, not the History of Israel. For other uses, see Zion (disambiguation). click here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism).

Personally I would rather "If I will it it will happen, If I dont it wont" but good luck to you.

If It were me I wouldnt do both Thai boxing and western boxing? I would do Thai and a form of grappling mate.
